AAML NJ Board of Managers and Chapter Meeting - Feb 23

Join the AAML New Jersey Chapter for a Board of Managers and Chapter Meeting on Tuesday, February 23, 2021. 

The board will convene at 5:00 PM on a meeting regarding the business of the chapter. 

The chapter meeting will convene at 6:00 PM and all AAML Fellows, sponsors and mentees are invited to join a presentation on " “RSU’s, Coverture Fraction, Wait! Not so Fast!” presented by by Jason Addesso and Kevin Baldwin of DLA, AAML NJ Gold Sponsors. 

The presentation will provide a discussion on the equitable distribution of equity based compensation. The treatment of equity based compensation as either an asset or future income. As well as a round-table discussion as to the impact of M.G. v. S.M.,_N.J. Super._ (App. Div. 2018). 

Key take-ways from this session include:

• Whether equity based income which vests after the date of complaint is subject to equitable distribution.
• What discovery should be requested and provided to appropriate account and allocate equity based income.
• Is the time based formula or coverture fraction dead when it comes to equity based income.
