Join us on March 30, 2023, for the next AAML NJ Seminar of the term hosted by Marcum, LLP. As the world continues to emerge from COVID-19 and its variants, its impact on businesses and everyday life is still being felt in the divorce realm. Valuation experts need to consider the best way to address the years in which COVID-19 affected a business, whether positively or negatively. Coupled with the current economic climate of continually rising interest rates and the prospect of a recession on the horizon, valuation experts need to be mindful that a business’ history alone may no longer be a real indicator of future performance. Consideration of the issues affecting all businesses (e.g. economy, inflation, etc.) and additional issues specific to the subject business may have a material impact on the concluded value.
During this presentation, we will discuss subjective components of business valuations and how COVID-19 and current economic conditions can impact valuation assumptions and drive valuation conclusions.
The seminar is approved for 1.2 CLE credits in Family Law by the Board of Continuing Legal Education of the Supreme Court of New Jersey.
